The 15th Tokyo International Music Market (15th TIMM) which opened on October 22nd, has successfully accomplished its three day schedule.
The event held in the Tokyo music city Shibuya for the third consecutive year, closed on Wednesday with the number of participants exceeding that of the previous year; 5,710 (Marketplace:2,915, Live Music Showcase and party events:2,795) in total.
At the marketplace held at the Shibuya Excel Hotel Tokyu on 22nd/23rd October, 38 exhibitors and more than 100 international buyers from 15 countries/regions participated to talk business and network.
The 15th TIMM hosted 9 business seminars and 7 business presentations and workshops, and with the themes ranging from the Chinese market to AI in music, stimulated interest of the delegates.
Also, at the 15th TIMM, a live music showcase presentation was held over the three day event and a total of over 30 artists aiming to take their musical careers international, presented their special performances in front of international buyers. Additionally, this year for the first time, at the special event “Music×Tech Showcase” held on October 24th, visitors experienced various events themed on the collaboration of music and technology such as artists performing with cutting edge stage technology, seminars for visual programming software, and exhibitions.
